Well after a few disasters (our bus company going bust! our flight being cancelled!having to fly to Birmingham and drive to Nottingham, getting lost on the way!) we were beginning to think is was a bad idea going to this tournament. But thankfully we were wrong.
The games started early on Monday morning and both teams were a bit nervous. But they needn't of been. There were some amazing teams there but also some that were there for a laugh "The pink ladies" "Desperate Housewives" to mention a couple. Both our ladies teams played there best and enjoyed some great games Both teams won games and draws, both got beat but it didn't matter they really enjoyed it and we were made feel really welcome by all the teams across the water. Well of course is would not be a ECB away trip with out a few wee drams and a bit of craic!!!
We acquired our own trophy and have a ladies team song OLD McFARLAND HAD A FARM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not say how we got the trophy but the song is because someone asked a stupid question to one of the ECB ladies ( I am not admitting anything!) For the first tournament that the ladies took part in they played there hardest and done the club proud.
