Congratulations to everyone who traveled to Chelmsford 2 weeks ago. Some brilliant hockey was played over the weekend by the guys and the girls and everyone seemed to enjoy the whole experience.
A special word of praise goes to the Ladies who really played their 1st competitive games as a full team, and were rewarded with their 1st trophy for taking part.
Their performance against the London Guards was excellent, and they were actually up against some very good players, two of which played for the Titans and made it to the weekend’s Final, well done to all! We couldn’t have done it though without our outstanding Goal Tending from SARAH, you’re a star! Sarah played in every single game over the weekend (possibly 14 games) the last of which she played with a serious injury to her hand, without a single complaint. Hope your hand heals quickly.
A BIG thank you goes out to Andy from the Stars who ran a great weekend nearly single handed, thanks again Stars for your hospitality. Girls lets hope we can reproduce that standard of play in the League this season. And Lynne lets hope that premonition of the Ladies having the most penalty minutes in the Under 16 Section of the League doesn’t pan out….Sorry Lisburn, were on a steep learning curve!!!
